The software can only be downloaded by the person who is designated as a “license user” in the form. Fill out the form and submit to purchase SAS annual license subscription through the UW IT software licensing. License for the next licensing period from July 1st to June 30th will be available on July 1st. Work done funded under a grant would usually be considered “academic” in nature, while work funded by a contract is likely “commercial” and, therefore, not covered under the license purchased by the UW IT. The SAS license purchased via UW IT Software Licensing service may be used for the purpose of (i) in the case of employees (faculty and academic staff), performing software administration, teaching, and noncommercial, academic research in their ordinary course as UW employees and (ii) in the case of enrolled students, meeting classroom requirements of courses and study offered by the UW. * Only users with paid license subscriptions can access that page. To renew the license for the version of SAS or JMP that you already have installed on your computer replace SID (license) file with the one published for all current SAS/JMP license holders on this page Renewal instruction is published on that page as well. Do NOT submit a new purchase request for the existing SAS license. UW IT will automatically bill for the SAS license in the next license cycle. UW IT must receive the opt-out request no later than June 26th. Once purchased, the license subscription is renewed automatically on an annual basis unless you opt out of the automated renewal. SAS is available through an annual subscription, with the license period running from July 1 through June 30. SAS license cannot be assigned to a shared UW NetID. UW IT cannot prorate or refund the cost of the SAS license subscription. UW IT Software Licensing Team administers this site license. This purchase was made based on the statistical information from the previous years of utilization. UW IT purchased a number of individual licenses for all UW campuses. UW SAS workstation license is NOT an (unlimited) site license. The license price is $90.00 for the license term of Jthrough June 30, 2022. Price may be adjusted annually based on these factors.
